What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

Wow, I’m making a post? Who knew? This is more like a February Wrap Up, so let’s get to it!

I just picked up Certain Dark Things from the library. This is Wicked Spirits Book Club book for February. Yes, I am aware I only have like four days left in the month but I am confident that this book will capture my attention and I should be able to finish it by March 1st or 2nd.

I read both The Cruel Prince and The Wicked King as part of Lit Coven books for February. Well….actually the book of the month was The Wicked King but I hadn’t read The Cruel Prince yet, so I rectified that. I am going to be really honest when I say Fae and the Fae world was not something that ever really appealed to me before, so I started this series a bit reluctantly and I am so glad it proved me wrong. I was dipped into a world where I was constantly guessing everyone’s next move and motives. There were one or two things I could see coming in both books but besides that, I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was going to happen next. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

On The Come Up was a buddy read with my friend Lillian. We buddy read The Hate U Give when it came out and were waiting on the edge of our seats for this one to drop. I can not stop recommending Angie Thomas’s work to anyone and everyone who will listen. So here is me telling you to go read this as soon as you can. She expertly weaves stories that should be read by EVERYONE.

Everyone and I do mean, everyone(!), I know was talking about The Gilded Wolves and I gave in. Seeing as I was spending an entire day on a plane and I had my tablet fully charged, it was an easy choice. I consumed this book so quickly and it tore my heart in two. All I can say is bravo Ms. Chokshi, bravo.

LitCoven’s next book choice is King Of Scars which revolves around Nikolai, a character from the Shadow & Bone trilogy, meaning that I am finally going to read the Shadow & Bone trilogy. I know, I know, took me long enough. I am a huge fan of the Six of Crows duology so it was just a matter of time until I did. So far that’s all I have planned on reading next.

What did you read? Have you read any of these books? What did you think? What are yo reading next?
