That is the main question at the center of Nnedi Okorafor’s 𝘓𝘢𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘯. ⁣ ⁣ It starts with three strangers on a beach in Lagos being drawn together by forces out of their own control and quickly brings chaos into the city. The book is fast paced and told from multiple points of views that lends to the utter chaos that ensues when aliens make themselves known. Part of me wishes the ending was a bit more straightforward with the fate of our three protagonists but I can understand why things are left mildly vague.
